iOS: Complete a Plan Day

Stay on track and deepen your faith by completing your daily Bible Plan readings.

Open your Plan Day

  1. Tap the Plans tab if it isn’t already selected.
  2. Tap My Plans, then choose the Plan you want. Today’s day is highlighted. Each selection is marked ○ (incomplete) or ✓ (complete), and previous completed days show ✓.
  3. At the bottom, tap Start Reading or swipe up on the screen.

What You’ll See

  • Devotional: This section can include text (with or without audio narration), images, audio, or video that connect the devotional to Scripture. Not every Plan Day has a devotional, and those that do may not include every content type.
  • Bible references: One or more verses related to the Plan Day’s content.

Read or Listen

To listen (if audio is available):

  1. Tap Play to listen and Pause to stop.
Change playback speed: Tap the three dots > Tap the Speed section > Select the speed.

To read:

  1. Swipe up to continue to the next section. Swipe down to review previous content.
  2. If you’re doing a Plan with Friends, you can add a comment in the Talk It Over section and tap Send (the paper airplane icon).

Finish the Day

At the end of the last selection, it will say "Day # Complete!" If you swipe up a final time, it will take you to the Plans tab. If you would like to continue to the next Play Day, tap "Continue to Day #" on the last slide. The current Plan Day and today’s selections will be marked ✓ (complete).

If any selections still show ○, you can either tap the selection to review it, or tap each ○ to mark it ✓.

Change the Bible Version

The Bible version always matches the last version you used in the Bible Reader tab. See how to change the version here.

Turn the Day Complete Dialog on or off

  1. Tap the You tab if it isn’t already selected.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Toggle Completion notices on or off.

Frequently Asked Questions about Completing a Plan Day

Can I change the narrator of the devotional section?

Unlike changing the narrator for the Bible reference section, the narrator for the devotional section can’t be changed.

Is AI used for the narration?

We encourage our partners to use human narrators for the Plan devotional section. When a human narration is not available, we use computer-generated voices to provide the narration. However, no computer-generated voice is used for the Bible.
