iOS: Edit Your Profile

Update your profile information, including your email address, on Android.

Your profile helps friends find you in the app and lets you personalize your YouVersion experience. Anyone signed in to the app can see your picture, name, location, or bio — so only add what you're comfortable sharing.

How to Edit Profile Information

1. Select the You tab (your profile picture or initial) at the bottom of the screen.
2. Select the Settings gear icon.
3. Tap Edit Profile.
4. Make any changes necessary and then tap Save.

What You Can Update

• Profile Picture (optional): If you skip this, the app shows a circle with your first and last initials. You can replace a picture anytime, but you can’t remove it. Contact us to have it deleted.
• Name (required): Shown to other users. You can use just your initials for more privacy.
• Location (optional): Visible only to friends, and not in search.
• Bio (optional): Anything you’d like to share.
• Email Address: Change the address in the Email field. YouVersion sends a confirmation email to the new address. Select the link in it, then sign out and back in so your profile shows the new address. If you sign in with Google, Facebook, or Apple, that service manages your email instead.
  • “Sorry, that email is not available”: The email is already linked to another YouVersion account. Delete that account first (steps), or contact support.
• Notification Settings: Choose which events to be notified about, as push or email. See iOS: Notifications.
• Password: Select Change Password. See iOS: Manage Password.
• Delete Account: Permanently removes your account and can’t be undone. See iOS: Delete Your Free YouVersion Account.

Web-only fields: ZIP/postal code, Country or Region, and Timezone are available only at Bible.com.
