Choose which activities you wish to be alerted to and where they’ll be the most useful to you.

Your Notification Settings are private. Other people who use the Bible App can’t see which notifications you choose to receive.
The Unsubscribe option at the bottom of any YouVersion email will open the Email Notifications in your App or take you to the Manage Notifications page at Bible.com (Sign-In required), depending on the Settings of the device you are using when you select the link.

How To Customize Notifications

  1. On the Home screen, select the bell icon, then the settings gear icon. Or go to More (≡) > Settings > Notification Settings.
  2. Select either Email Notifications or Push Notifications.
    1. Selecting Email Notifications will allow you to customize which notifications you want sent to your email.
    2. Selecting Push Notifications will allow you to customize which notifications you want sent to your device.
  3. Scroll to any section, select which actions you want to send you notifications, and set the time to receive them.

How To Set Up Verse of the Day Notifications

Pick a time and select which Bible version you want, and Verse of the Day will come to you, wherever you are.
  1. Bottom right: select More.
  2. Select Verse of the Day.
  3. Top right: select Settings (the gear icon).
Choose between receiving the Bible text-only Verse of the Day, Bible text, and image Verse of the Day, or image-only Verse of the Day.
