Manage Your Free YouVersion Account: Create One, Sign In, or Sign Out.
Create an Account
- Select the You tab, then Create a free account.
- Choose Continue with Email (recommended), or continue with Google.
- If using email: enter your first name, last name, email, and password, then tap Create Account.
- Confirm your email if prompted — it may take a few minutes to arrive.
Use a personal email rather than a school/work one, so you keep access if that email is deactivated.
If you choose to continue with Apple, a private ID email will be generated for your account. Please note that this account may not be able to download some Bible versions.
Verify Email Address
If you select Continue with Email (Recommended):
- After selecting Sign Up, YouVersion sends a confirmation email to the address you used to create your account.
- Check your email and select the link in the confirmation message.
- After you confirm your email address, you can sign into your account.
It may take several minutes for your confirmation email to arrive. If you don’t receive it, try these troubleshooting steps: I don’t see the YouVersion email I expected.
Sign In
- Select the You tab.
- Choose Sign in with Email (recommended), or continue with Google.
- Enter your credentials and select Sign In.
Trouble signing in? Double-check your email for typos, try another email address, or create a new account if you don't have one.

Sign Out
- Select the You tab.
- Select the Settings gear icon (top right).
- Select Sign Out.
