Bible Reader Settings on Android

Bible Reader Settings allow you to customize your Bible settings to best fit how you want to engage with God's word.

Bible Settings

Get to some Bible Reader settings by selecting the Bible tab and tapping the AA button at the top.

Change Font Size

Select Font Size to see the different options available to create smaller or larger Bible text sizes.

  1. Get to the Bible Settings.
  2. Select the A buttons to increase or reduce the font size.

Change Font Type / Manage Offline Fonts

  1. Get to the Bible Settings.
  2. Select the Font section.
  3. Select any font from the list or add fonts downloaded on your device.
    Any added fonts can also be removed from the App.

Change Background Color

  1. Select the Bible tab if it has not been selected already.
  2. Top: Select the AA button.
  3. Select any of the colors in the list.

Enable/Disable Continuous Scrolling

When continuous scrolling is enabled, you can scroll up or down to move between chapters instead of using the navigation buttons at the bottom.

  1. Select the Bible tab if it has not been selected already.
  2. Top: Select the AA button.
  3. Select the switch beside Continuous Scrolling to enable or disable continuous scrolling.

More Bible Settings

Get to more Bible Reader settings by selecting the Bible tab, selecting the AA button at the top, and then tapping ALL SETTINGS. Alternatively, select the More tab, and select Settings. Scroll down to the Bible reading section.

Show/Hide Footnotes

Footnotes are in-text references that help bring further context and insight into what is being said in the verse you are reading.

  1. Get to the More Bible Settings.
  2. Select the switch beside Show Footnotes to show or hide footnotes.

Show/Hide Red Letters

Red letters are used to emphasize the spoken words of Jesus.

  1. Get to the More Bible Settings.
  2. Select the switch beside Red Letters to show or hide red letters when available.

Show/Hide Verse Picker

The verse picker allows you to select the exact verse you want to read, rather than scrolling to find the verse.

  1. Get to the More Bible Settings.
  2. Select the switch beside Show Verse Pickers to show or hide verse numbers when changing Books of the Bible.

Show/Hide Tracking Bar

The audio tracking bar will highlight which verse is being read, so you can follow along while listening.

  1. Get to the More Bible Settings.
  2. Select the switch beside the Show Audio Tracking Bar to show or hide the tracking back when listening to Bible audio.

Manage Offline Versions

Remove any Bible versions you have downloaded for offline use.

  1. Get to the More Bible Settings.
  2. Select Manage Offline Versions.
  3. Select REMOVE beside the version you want to remove.
