iOS: Connect with Friends Using a QR Code
Easily connect with friends on YouVersion by sharing or scanning a unique profile QR code. Your QR code is private, so it is only visible to those you choose to share it with.
To send or accept friend requests, make sure you’re signed in to your YouVersion account. If you don’t have one yet, you’ll need to sign up first.
To share your profile:
- Go to the You tab at the bottom right of the Home tab
- Tap the QR icon at the top right.
- Your unique QR code will be displayed on screen. Friends can scan this code to open your profile and send you a friend request.
- To send your profile link, select:
- Share to choose how you'd like to send your profile link, or
- Copy to paste the link anywhere you like.
To add a friend using their QR code:
- Tap the You tab.
- Tap the QR icon at the top right.
- Tap the Scan tab at the top.
- Point your camera at their QR code to scan.
- Their profile will open—tap Add Friend to send a request.
You can also scan the QR code using your phone’s regular camera app (if supported). It will open their profile in the Bible App, where you can send a friend request.
