Android: Guided Scripture

Guided Scripture is a daily feature designed to help you pause, reflect, and connect with God. It can include a short video devotional based on the Verse of the Day, a guided prayer, and more.

You can open Guided Scripture in two ways:

From the Home screen:

1. Tap the Home tab.
2. Tap Guided Scripture.
3. Swipe up or down to navigate through the sections of Guided Scripture.

From the Past Verse of the Day screen:

1. Get to the Past Verse of the Day screen by following the steps here.
2. Tap Guided Scripture.
3. Swipe up or down to navigate through the sections of Guided Scripture.

Sections of Guided Scripture

1. Video
   A short recording of the meaning and impact of today’s Verse of the Day.
   Want to know more about the Verse of the Day speaker? Select the profile icon in the bottom left corner to see their Partner Page.
   Learn how to view the videos for the last 10 days here.
2. Devotional
   A short devotional tied to the Verse of the Day — this may come from a Bible Plan or be written in-house. Note that devotionals aren't included every day.
   • In-house devotionals can be shared directly — tap the share icon in the top right.
   • Plan-based devotionals don't have a share icon here. To share one, tap Save to add it to your Plans > Saved Plans list, then open the Plan, go to that day's devotional, and share from there.
3. Prayer
   A prayer to guide your time with God. Tap Add to Prayer List to save it. Learn more about creating a prayer by tapping here.
4. Scripture
   Verse of the Day.
5. Closing
   A closing verse to wrap up your time.

Share Guided Scripture

To share a specific section, tap the Share icon in the top right of that section. To share the full Guided Scripture, tap Share Story at the bottom of the last section.

Watch Teaching Clips by Speakers

1. Tap the Discover tab.
2. Search for the speaker's name by tapping the search section at the top.
3. Tap the speaker's name under Pages in the results. You'll see all their content, including Bible Plans and Teaching Clips.
