Verse of the Day - Android

Verse of the Day offers a unique Bible verse for every day of the year, carefully curated by YouVersion’s staff to encourage, inspire, or challenge you. Read about the Verse of the Day Process here.

Tap on the verse to see the full text. Interact with the Verse of the Day by liking or sharing it. Tap the More button for additional actions, including Read Full Chapter, Create Image, Compare Versions, and See Past Days.

Rewatch Verse of the Day

If you missed yesterday's Verse of the Day or want to repeat it, there are two ways to access past Verse of the Day content:

1. From the Home Screen:
   1. Bottom left: Select the Home tab if it has not been selected already.
   2. Bottom right of the Verse of the Day: Tap More.
   3. Tap See Past Days.
   4. Proceed to common steps.
2. From the More Screen:
   1. Bottom right: Select the More tab if it has not been selected already.
   2. Select Verse of the Day.
   3. Proceed to common steps.

Common Steps:

1. Top left: Make sure Text is selected.
2. Scroll to the day you wish to view and tap on it.
3. Tap the right side of the screen to advance,
   OR
   Tap the left side of the screen to go back,
   following the prompts as you go.
   Some sections, such as Scripture and Prayer, include content you can share. Select the Share icon and follow the prompts.

Additional Options:

• Devotional. Scroll down to see more.
• Prayer. Select Add to Prayer List to save today’s Prayer to your Prayer List.
• Verse Image. Select Save to Profile to save today’s Image to your Images and add it to your Home feed.

Change Verse of the Day Bible Version

The Verse of the Day Bible version will always follow the last version used in the Bible Reader tab. See how to change the version here.

Share Guided Scripture

You can share any section of the Guided Scripture by tapping the share icon at the top right. Share the complete Guided Scripture by tapping Share Story at the bottom of the last section.

Share Verse of the Day Text

Share the Verse of the Day text to bring encouragement to someone's day!

1. On the Home Screen, tap the share icon at the bottom of the Verse of the Day.
2. Tap the copy icon to copy the text to the clipboard.
3. To share in an app, such as email or messages, tap that icon.

Share Verse of the Day Image

1. On the Home Screen, scroll down to Verse of the Day Images.
2. Tap on the image.
3. The Save to Profile option saves the verse image to your images list and is visible to your Friends on the Community tab of their Home Screen.
4. Tap on Share to share the image in other apps.

Download Verse of the Day Image

1. On the Home Screen, scroll down to Verse of the Day Images.
2. Tap on the image.
3. Top right: Tap on the download icon to download the image on your device.

Create Verse of the Day Image

1. On the Home Screen, scroll down to Verse of the Day Images.
2. Tap on the last item on the list with the blank image and + button.
3. For the background color of your image, select one of the stock images or an image on your device.
4. Tab Choose Image.
5. Bottom: Adjust the settings to make your Verse Image look the way you want:
   1. Select a Font.
   2. Adjust the Font Size, Letter Spacing, Line Height, and Text Alignment.
   3. Select the Shape for your Verse Image.
   4. Adjust the Opacity of the Bible text.
   5. Adjust the Blur and Brightness of the background.
   Tap once inside the text to edit it. Tap anywhere on the background to stop text edit mode.
6. Top right: Select Save to keep your Verse Image.
   Select Share to share your Verse Image on social media or send it to a friend, select Download Image to save it on your device, or select Done to share on your Profile.
   OR
   Top: Select ← to return to the Home Screen without saving.
