Today

Verse Of The Day

  1. Top Right: Select the share icon to share the Verse of the Day.
    1. You can share the Verse of the day image or text, to customize the Verse Image, tap on customize and then choose the color and font and then tap “Share” or tap “hide” to cancel.
  2. Select or tap the verse to read the rest of the chapter, or to hear the whole chapter.

Under the verse of the day:

  1. Today’s Prayer Tap “Pray” to read the prayer of the day, tap the share icon at the top right, to share it.
  2. Memorize Today’s verse Swipe 1 time to the left to reach "Memorize Today's Verse" and then tap "Start", this feature will help memorize the verse of the day by filling in the blanks.
  3. Share God’s Word Swipe 2 times to the left to reach it and then tap “Share” to share the app link through any app, if the receiver doesn’t have the app, then their phone will open the Play store to download it.

Streak

Tap the streak number at the top left to view more details of your streak

If you think that your streak is not accurate, try the following troubleshooting techniques:

  1. Sign out and sign back in
  2. Uninstall and reinstall the app
  3. Complete and submit this form if your streak is still not accurate.
  4. Sign out/in of our account

Bible

Bible Versions

  1. Currently, the Bible App offers, by default, full access to the NIV Bible (New International Version)
    1. To learn more about NIV, select My Profile (person icon on the bottom menu)
    2. Select the three lines in the top left corner
    3. Select About the Publisher
  2. To select a different Bible Version
    • Tap the Bible version name at the top right.
    • Tap the language
    • If the language is in the suggested languages tap it and then choose the Version you prefer.
    • If the language is not suggested, you can select "All languages", choose the language from the list, or click on the search icon at the top right to search for it.
    Any selected Bible version will be automatically downloaded and can be accessed offline whenever necessary. To delete a downloaded version, simply tap on the version name at the top, then long press on the desired version to remove it, and finally tap on "yes.”

Bible Audio

Bible versions that offer an audio option will have an audio icon next to their name in the list. However, not all books within a Bible version necessarily have audio available. To check which books have audio, simply tap on the book name at the bottom. Books that have the audio icon next to their name will have audio available.

  1. Select Bible tab on the bottom menu
  2. Select the speaker icon (bottom right of the screen) at the top center to open the audio controls
    1. Tap the play icon to start the audio
    2. Tap the left and right arrow to advance or go back in Verses
    3. Tap the 1X button to adjust audio speed. Values greater than 1 accelerate playback, while values smaller than 1 decrease it.
    4. Tap “Timer off” to set a time
    You can also tap the play icon at the bottom left to start the audio

Tap Settings

Select any color to highlight the verse

To find verses you've highlighted previously:

  • Select the Profile icon in the bottom right corner
  • Tap Highlights.
  • A list of all the verses you have highlighted should appear with the most recent ones displaying first
  • Scroll towards the bottom to see older Highlights

Share

  • Click the ''share'' icon, next to the highlight colors.
  • Choose the app through which you want to share it.

Copy

  • Select the ''copy'' icon, next to the ''share'' icon.
  • The verse will be copied to the clipboard and can be pasted in anywhere in the phone.

To customize the Bible text:

  • Tap the person icon at the bottom far left
  • Tap settings
  • After selecting the Bible version, the following fields can be customized
    • Font Type
    • Font size

Bible Audio Stories

  • Tap the audio icon on the main menu on the second from the right
  • Tap any audio story from the list
  • Tap the play button to hear it .
  • Tap the left and right arrow to advance or go back 30 seconds

Bible Settings

  1. Select the person icon on the bottom menu
  2. Top Left: Select Bible Settings
    1. Select which style and size of font

Verse Actions - Highlight, Share, Copy

Highlight
  1. Select each verse you want to highlight, by tapping on it. A list of options displays, with Highlight colors above the selected verse(s).

To find verses you've highlighted previously:

  1. Select the Profile icon in the bottom right corner
  2. Check the top icons to see if ‘Highlights’ is highlighted
  3. A list of all the verses you have highlighted should appear with the most recent ones displaying first
  4. Scroll towards the bottom to see older Highlights
Sharing
  1. Select each verse you want to share.
  2. Click the ''share'' icon, next to the highlight colors.
Copy
  1. Select each verse you want to share.
  2. Select the ''copy'' icon, next to the ''share'' icon.

Offline Use

  1. Search and Audio in the Reader will not be available offline. To use both of those features, the device must connected to wifi or mobile connectivity.
  2. The NIV version is downloaded by default and can be used anytime, Selecting any other version as explained above, will download it and can then be used offline.
  1. Tap the Bible icon at the bottom
  2. Top Right: Select the search icon
  3. Begin typing what you're looking for, Search using key words such as faith, love, or hope.
  4. Bottom Right: Select the blue checkmark on the keyboard
  5. On the search result , tap any verse to read the full chapter

Guides

Bible Reading Guides allow users to read through different sections or themes of the Bible.

  1. Select: Old Testament, New Testament or all.
  2. Swipe left and right to see all of the available Guides.
  3. To stop a Guide, select the three dots in the top right corner, and select "Leave".

Get a daily reminder to read your Guide by selecting "Turn Reminder On" after you select the Guide you want to read. Or go to the Settings in your Profile.

Profile/Account

Need to delete your account? Follow the steps below to contact the support team.
  1. Select the person icon on the bottom menu
  2. Select the three lines in the top left corner
  3. Select 'Get Help'
  4. Select Login/password and account
  5. Select Other
  6. In the comment section, let us know that you would like to delete your account.

Notification Settings

  1. Select the person icon on the bottom menu
  2. Top Left: Select the three lines
  3. Select Settings
  4. Turn off/on notifications for Verse of the Day or Daily Prayer

Sign In/Sign Out

  1. Select the person icon on the bottom menu
  2. Top Left: Select the three lines
  3. Select Sign In

Creating An Account

  1. Select the person icon on the bottom menu
  2. Top Right: Select Sign Up

Change/Reset Password

Reset password:

  1. Select the person icon on the bottom menu
  2. Top Right: Select Sign up
  3. Select : Have an account ? sign in
  4. Select Forgot Password?
  5. Enter email or username
  6. Check email for reset link

Change password:

  1. Select the person icon on the bottom menu
  2. Top Left: Select the three lines
  3. Select change password
  4. Enter current password and the new one
  5. Select change

Change Email

The procedure below will help you change the email address you have associated with your free YouVersion account. This cannot be done inside Bible App Lite and must be completed at Bible.com in a browser.
  1. Visit Bible.com in a web browser.
  2. Top right: Select Profile Picture or Initials.
  3. Select Account Settings.
  4. Left: Select Change Password.
  5. Change the Address in the Email field to the one you want to use now.
  6. Select Change Email Address.
    YouVersion sends a confirmation email to the address you just provided.
  7. Check your email, and select the link in the confirmation message.
It may take several minutes for your confirmation email to arrive. If you don’t receive it, try these troubleshooting steps: I don’t see the YouVersion email I expected
After you confirm your email, you will need to Sign Out and then Sign In again before your Profile screen will show the changed address.
