Today

Verse Of The Day

  1. Top Right: Select the share icon to share the Verse of the Day.
  2. Select the verse to read the rest of the chapter.
  3. Starting with Daily Prayer, scroll to the right until you see Share God's Word.
    1. Select share twice

Under the verse of the day, swipe to the right to see Memorize Today's Verse, and to share the verse of the day.

Verse Of The Day Image

  1. To share the Verse Of The Day Image: select Share God's Word (to the right of Daily Prayer)
  2. To customize the Verse of the Day Image: select Share God's Word (to the right of Daily Prayer)
    1. Select customize
    2. Select color and font
      1. To go back, select Hide
      2. To share your customized image, select Share

Streak

Try the following troubleshooting techniques:

  1. Sign out and sign back in
  2. Uninstall and reinstall the app
  3. Complete and submit this form if your streak is still not accurate.
  4. Sign out/in of our account

Daily Prayer

  1. Select Daily Prayer
  2. Select the icon in the top right corner to share Today’s Prayer.

Sharing

  1. Select Daily Prayer
  2. Top Right: Select the share icon

Bible

Bible Versions

  1. Currently, the Bible App offers full access to the NIV Bible (New International Version)
    1. To learn more about NIV, select My Profile (person icon on the bottom menu)
    2. Select the three lines in the top left corner
    3. Select About NIV & Biblica

Bible Audio

  1. Select Bible tab on the bottom menu
  2. Select the speaker icon (bottom right of the screen)

***To reverse the audio, select the 30 arrow.

Select 1X to choose the speed of the audio.

Bible Settings

  1. Select the person icon on the bottom menu
  2. Top Left: Select Bible Settings
    1. Select which style and size of font

Reader Navigation

  1. If you are located in the Reader or in the Profile page, select the Sun & Cloud icon in the bottom left corner.
  2. If you have selected a verse in the Reader, you will have to deselect the verse by tapping on the underline phrase to view the Sun & Cloud icon on the bottom of the tab.
  3. Scroll out of the verse, and tap on the Sun & Cloud icon to go back to the Homepage.

Verse Actions - Highlight, Share, Copy

Highlight
  1. Select each verse you want to highlight, by tapping on it. A list of options displays, with Highlight colors above the selected verse(s).

To find verses you've highlighted previously:

  1. Select the Profile icon in the bottom right corner
  2. Check the top icons to see if ‘Highlights’ is highlighted
  3. A list of all the verses you have highlighted should appear with the most recent ones displaying first
  4. Scroll towards the bottom to see older Highlights
Sharing
  1. Select each verse you want to share.
  2. Click the ''share'' icon, next to the highlight colors.
Copy
  1. Select each verse you want to share.
  2. Select the ''copy'' icon, next to the ''share'' icon.
     

Offline Use

  1. Search and Audio in the Reader will not be available offline. To use both of those features, the device must connected to wifi or mobile connectivity.
Need to download an offline Bible version? Follow the steps below!
  1. Select the Bible tab on the bottom menu.
  2. Select the book of the Bible (above the bottom menu).
  3. Select the Bible version in the top right corner.
  4. Find the version you are wanting to download, and select the arrow on the right side.
  1. Top Right: Select the search icon
  2. Begin typing what you're looking for.
  3. Bottom Right: Select the blue checkmark
Search using key words such as faith, love, or hope.

If you are located in the Reader or in the Profile page, select the Sun & Cloud icon in the bottom left corner.

 If you have selected a verse in the Reader, deselect the verse by tapping on the underlined phrase to view the Sun & Cloud icon on the bottom of the tab. Scroll away from the verse, and tap on the Sun & Cloud icon to go back to the Today Page.

Profile/Account Settings

Need to delete your account? Follow the steps below to contact the support team.
  1. Select the person icon on the bottom menu
  2. Select the three lines in the top left corner
  3. Select 'Get Help'
  4. Select Login/password and account
  5. Select Other
  6. In the comment section, let us know that you would like to delete your account.

Notification Settings

  1. Select the person icon on the bottom menu
  2. Top Right: Select the three lines
  3. Select Settings
  4. Turn off/on notifications for Verse of the Day or Daily Prayer

Bible Settings

  1. Select the person icon on the bottom menu
  2. Top Right: Select Bible Settings
  3. Select the style and size of font

Sign In/Sign Out

  1. Select the person icon on the bottom menu
  2. Top Left: Select the three lines
  3. Select Sign In

Creating An Account

  1. Select the person icon on the bottom menu
  2. Top Right: Select Sign Up

Change/Reset Password

  1. Select the person icon on the bottom menu
  2. Top Right: Select Sign In
  3. Select Forgot Password?
  4. Enter email or username
  5. Check email for reset link

Change Email

The procedure below will help you change the email address you have associated with your free YouVersion account. This cannot be done inside Bible App Lite and must be completed at Bible.com in a browser.
  1. Visit Bible.com in a web browser.
  2. Top right: Select Profile Picture or Initials.
  3. Select Account Settings.
  4. Left: Select Change Password.
  5. Change the Address in the Email field to the one you want to use now.
  6. Select Change Email Address.
    YouVersion sends a confirmation email to the address you just provided.
  7. Check your email, and select the link in the confirmation message.
It may take several minutes for your confirmation email to arrive. If you don’t receive it, try these troubleshooting steps: I don’t see the YouVersion email I expected
After you confirm your email, you will need to Sign Out and then Sign In again before your Profile screen will show the changed address.
