The Bible App on the Web is accessible at bible.com from any desktop or mobile web browser. If you're looking to use YouVersion on your phone or tablet, download the YouVersion Bible App from your device's app store.

Create an Account

Go to bible.com.
In the top right corner, select the Profile icon.
Select Create Account.
Under ‘Don’t Have an Account?’, select Create Account.
Select Sign Up with Email, then enter your name, email address, and password. Select Create Account.

Password tip: Your password must be at least 15 characters long. We recommend using a unique password for your YouVersion account and storing it in a password manager for easy access later.

You can also sign up using Facebook, Google, or Apple — just select your preferred option and follow the prompts.

Change Your Password

Go to bible.com and ensure you are signed in to your account.
In the top right corner, select the Profile Icon.
Tap on Account Settings.
Select Edit your personal information.
Select the account.
Scroll down until you see Password.
Scroll down to Password, enter your new password, confirm it, and select Update.

Forgot Your Password?

Go to bible.com.
In the top right corner, select the Profile icon.
Select Sign In, then select Forgot Password.
Enter the email address associated with your YouVersion account and select Send New Password.
Check your inbox for a "Reset Password" email and select Reset Password. The Change My Password screen will appear.

It may take a few minutes for the email to arrive. If you don't receive it, try these troubleshooting steps.

Change Your Email Address

Go to bible.com and sign in to your account.
In the top right corner, select the Profile icon.
Select Account Settings.
Select Edit your personal information.
Select the account.
Scroll down to your email address and update it.

Edit Your Profile

Profile Picture

Go to bible.com and sign in to your account.
In the top right corner, select the Profile icon.
Select Account Settings.
Select Edit your personal information.
Select the account.
Next to your current photo, select Change to upload a new picture.

Privacy note: A name is required, but if you'd prefer more privacy, feel free to use your initials.

Bio

Your bio is optional — it's a great place to share a little about yourself if you'd like.

Select Your Default Language

Select the globe icon in the top right corner.
Choose the language you'd like the Bible App on Web to display.

Note: This changes the interface language, not the Bible translation language. See below to update your Bible language settings.

Bible Language Settings

Select the Bible tab in the top left corner.
Select the version abbreviation (for example, NIV).
Select Change Language and choose your preferred language.

Customize Your Notifications

Go to bible.com and sign in to your account.
In the top right corner, select the Profile icon.
Select Account Settings.
Select Edit your personal information.
Select the account.
Select Notifications and adjust your preferences.

Delete Your Account

We're sorry to see you go! We hope you'll continue finding ways to connect with God each day, wherever that takes you.

Please note: deleting your account permanently removes all data in your YouVersion account and cannot be undone.

Go to bible.com and sign in to your account.
In the top right corner, select the Profile icon.
Select Account Settings.
Select Edit your personal information.
Select the account.
Scroll down and select Delete Account.

Download Your Account Data

Go to bible.com and sign in to your account.
In the top right corner, select the Profile icon.
Select Account Settings.
Select Edit your personal information.
Select the account.
In the Data section, select Download.
