iOS: Highlights

Atualizado 17/3/26 por Zizoh Anto

Highlighting marks Bible verses with color, making them stand out from the surrounding text, which helps you easily spot them again later. Highlights are only visible in the Bible versions to which they were added, not in all versions.

How To Create A Highlight

  1. Select the Bible tab if it hasn’t been selected already.
  2. Locate and select the Bible verse(s) you want to highlight.
Sublinhados pontilhados aparecerão abaixo dos versículos selecionados. Uma lista de opções será exibida na parte inferior.
  3. Selecionar a cor que você deseja para o Destaque.
The two recently used colors are highlighted. Tap the button with multiple colors and swipe left to view the five available colors.
Anyone on your YouVersion Friends List will see your Highlights activity on their Community feed or when they look at your Profile.

View Your Highlights

In the Bible Reader, any verse that you’ve highlighted will display a Saved Verse Indicator (blue background) on the verse number. This indicator appears when you are using the same Bible version in which the Highlight was created. Clicking on the Saved Verse Indicator will display any Highlights you have added in the Saved tab.

Para visualizar todos os seus Destaques em uma lista conveniente, siga estes passos:

  1. Bottom right: select ≡ (More)Saved, Highlights. Todos os seus Destaques são listados, do mais recente ao mais antigo.

Share Highlighted Verse

  1. Bottom right: select ≡ (More)Saved, Highlights.
  2. Locate the highlight you want to share.
  3. At the bottom right of the highlight, select , then Share.

Change A Highlight To A Different Color

  1. Bottom right: select ≡ (More)Saved, Highlights.
  2. Locate the highlight you want to change.
  3. Bottom right: select , Edit.
Swipe left for more colors. To choose a custom color, swipe to ⋯ and select it.

Remove A Highlight

Removing a highlight doesn’t delete the verse(s). It simply removes the highlight color.
  1. Bottom right: select ≡ (More)Saved, Highlights.
  2. Locate the highlight you want to remove.
  3. At the bottom right of the highlight, select , then Delete.
You can also remove a highlight directly from the Bible text where you see it. Simply select the highlighted verse(s), then select the current highlight color that has an X in the middle.
