iOS: Streak FAQ
Why did my Streak reset?
These are the most common reasons for a Streak to reset:
- Missed a Day: you didn’t open the Bible App or complete the Daily Refresh (for the Daily Refresh streak) between 12:00am and 11:59pm on a given day.
- Not Signed In: you opened the Bible App or completed the Daily Refresh but weren’t signed into your YouVersion account.
- Signed In to Different Account: you were signed in but have multiple YouVersion accounts. (Each account maintains its own Streak.)
Why does my Streak show the wrong count?
In most cases, if your Streak doesn’t display correctly, something’s misconfigured, or data is cached that needs to be cleared. See how to clear the cache here.
Submit the Streak Restoration Form if the streak is still incorrect after clearing the cache.

- Select the Home tab.
- Top right: select the Streak icon.
- Top right: select the circle with?.
- Fill out and submit the form.
Submit the form for the App Open Streak or the Daily Refresh Streak. If you want both streaks to be restored, you’ll need to submit the form twice. After that, sign out and sign back into your YouVersion account to see your correct streak. Contact us if your streak is still not restored after following these steps.
Why is my Daily Refresh Streak different from my Daily Refresh Badge?
The counting methods differ between the two. The streak represents the number of consecutive days you’ve completed the Daily Refresh without missing a day. The Badge, on the other hand, is a cumulative count of all the days you’ve completed the Daily Refresh, regardless of breaks.
Can I reduce or reset my Streak?
Currently, it isn’t possible to manually reduce or reset your Streak. The Streak feature is designed to encourage consistent engagement and reflect your ongoing journey with the Bible. If you’d like to start your Streak over, you can deliberately skip a day, which will reset your Streak to zero and allow you to begin again.
Can I disable/hide the Streak feature?
Currently, it isn’t possible to disable/hide this feature. Making these progress visible will lead to greater engagement from our YouVersion community. We also believe wholeheartedly that a daily rhythm of seeking intimacy with God has the power to change lives. That’s why YouVersion creates biblically-centered, culturally relevant experiences that encourage and challenge people to seek God throughout their day.
