General troubleshooting tips on Android

Here are  general troubleshooting tips to help diagnose, and solve Android issues
  1. ​Check the Google Play Store (Amazon for Kindle and Barnes and Noble for Nook) to download the latest version available for your device.
  2. Be sure you have the app installed to the internal memory. If it is installed to the SD card, the app will not run properly.
  3. For streak concerns select link here 
Most issues are solved with a cache clear and then sign out an in again
  1. Select the More icon (three stacked lines)
  2. Scroll down and select the Settings 
  3. Scroll down and select Clear Local Cache
  4. SIGN OUT (Settings > SIGN OUT) and then sign in  from the device to restart app
 Kindle clear cache
  1. Settings (gear icon on notification bar)
  2. More.
  3. Applications
  4. All Applications (from dropdown)
  5. Bible
  6. Clear cache
NOOK clear cache
  1. Simply shutdown and restart your device, as this will clear the data and cache automatically
  2. Restart your device and then sign back into your account
Still having issues
  1. Uninstall then re-install the app
  2. Stop and restart device
  • This will not affect any of your reading plans, bookmarks or notes if you have a YouVersion account
Is issue still there
  1. With a  tablet or computer select  Email the Help Team 
  2. ​With a phone (In the Bible App) go to Main Menu (three stacked lines)> Settings  > Help > Contact Support
  3. Reply to these questions and submit  
  •  Are you getting an error message? If so, what does it say
  •  Is the error message repeatable - meaning, can you do the same thing over and over, and get the error message or have the same problem each time
  •  What are the steps to repeat the error
