Last Updated: Sep 01, 2018 12:58PM CDT
Now you can share a Bible verse — as an image — from directly inside the Bible App on your Android device. Did a verse encourage you today?  Inspire you?  Or even challenge you?  Share it with your friends as an image.

To create a verse image
  1. Select Read (book) icon in main bottom menu
  2. Select the verse(s) you want to share
  3. Select IMAGE in the bottom drop down menu
  4. Select an image background for your Verse image.
  • You can select a personal image from your private gallery by tapping in the first blank tile with the Mountain symbol. See below for more instructions
  • Or choose one from the YouVersion gallery.
    • Select check mark in the bottom right corner of the selected image
  1. Customize your image with text, fonts, colors, and other effects
  • The default main options page is the Tt icon and has a colored underline
    • Font size can be set by the slider (left > small; right > large)
    • Line size and letter spacing can be set by selecting spacing icon (three stacked lines with the up-down-arrow in front) to left of size slider
      • This shows two changers, one for the line size and one for the letter spacing.
      • Both can be toggled by buttons labeled "+" and "-".
      • Selecting the "x" left above the toggle buttons brings you back to the 'Tt' Screen
    • Font selection can be done by scrolling the line with the font names from left to right or vice versa and tapping to the desired font, so that it is set to bold font name
    • Edit text or add text
      • Select the text in the image to bring up the text editor. Use the keyboard to make changes
      • To get back to main page, tap anywhere in image outside of the two vertical lines
  • Select the teardrop drop icon to change colors
    • Select the black or white sections to toggle between those colors.
    • Select the icon that looks like a paint palette on the right to change to other colors.
      • A screen will appear showing two tables with variety of colors
      •  On the left one, slide the dot until you get the color you want your font to be
      •  On the smaller one to the right, set the brightness of the chosen color by sliding the dot up or down
      • Tap on the "x" button top right to return to the previous screen.
    • Set the transparency/opacity of the text by moving the slider (left => No transparency/full opacity; right => full transparency/No opacity)
    • Select the Tt button; bottom left to go back to the default options page
  • Select the third icon (long and short line)  for left, middle or left justification
    • Here you can set the text adjustment to
      - left
      - center
      - right
      as shown on the symbols
    • Tap the Tt button; bottom left to go back to the main options screen.
  • Select the fourth icon (three sliders) to blur image
    • Adjust slider. This does not affect the text; just the image. Moving the bar to the left gives less blur and to the right more blur.
    • Tap on the Tt button; bottom left to go back to the main options screen.
