How to use a downloaded bible for offline reading on iOS

Last Updated: Dec 24, 2016 11:04AM CST

Once you have downloaded a Bible version, there is nothing special you need to do to use it while offline.  If you lose network connection, the app will prompt you to “select one of your downloaded Bible versions.”   It will be easy to identify your downloaded Bibles in the list of versions because all the others will be greyed out, to indicate that they are unavailable offline.

You can force the app to use the downloaded bibles by putting your device in AIRPLANE mode.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

In rare situations, a previously downloaded  Bible file may be incompatible with the current app level, and you may have to delete the downloaded Bible to diagnose or fix the problem.
